In brief

What is VaultBox?

VaultBox is an iOS privacy app for hiding and encrypting personal photos, videos and documents. It is not an app hider for other installed apps, a social network, or a VaultBox-operated cloud gallery.

Product

Privacy that fits real life.

A separate boundary for the moments when your unlocked phone is in someone else’s hands.

01

Import

Add photos, videos or documents—or capture directly inside the vault.

02

Encrypt

Files and thumbnails are encrypted before VaultBox stores them.

03

Protect

Open the vault with your private PIN or Face ID, separate from simply unlocking the phone.

04

Disguise

Use a working calculator, notes, weather or clock cover on your Home Screen.

Security

Your private files are not our product.

VaultBox protects file contents on your device. Product analytics can record event names, such as a feature being opened, but do not include your photos, videos, documents or the content inside them.

Capabilities

More than a hidden album.

Layered controls for different privacy situations, without turning the product into a security dashboard.

Access

Private PIN + Face ID

Vault access stays separate from the passcode used to unlock your phone.

Discretion

Working app disguises

Choose a calculator, notes, weather or clock cover that behaves like the app it resembles.

Defense

Decoy vault

A second PIN opens a harmless library without exposing your private files.

Awareness

Break-in alerts

Record failed attempts so you know when someone tried to open the vault.

Continuity

Encrypted iCloud backup

Restore files through your iCloud account without using a separate VaultBox photo-storage server.

Sharing

Expiring private links

Create an encrypted link, set an expiry, and revoke it early when needed.

Compare

VaultBox vs. Apple’s Hidden album

Both reduce casual visibility. VaultBox adds a separate privacy system for people who need more control.

FAQ

Photo privacy questions

Direct answers to the questions people ask before trusting a privacy app.

How does VaultBox hide photos on iPhone?

Import photos and videos into VaultBox, where they are encrypted and protected by your private PIN and Face ID. You can then remove the originals from Apple Photos when you are ready.

Does VaultBox upload my private photos to its own servers?

No. VaultBox encrypts your files on your device. If you enable encrypted backup, the backup is stored in your iCloud account rather than on a VaultBox photo-storage server.

Can VaultBox look like a calculator?

Yes. VaultBox can disguise its icon and opening screen as everyday apps including a working calculator, notes, weather or clock.

Is VaultBox an app hider?

No. VaultBox does not hide or lock other installed apps. It hides and encrypts photos, videos and documents inside its own private vault.

Is VaultBox different from the iPhone Hidden album?

Yes. VaultBox adds a separate private PIN, encrypted file storage, app disguises, a decoy vault, break-in alerts and optional encrypted backup to your iCloud account.

Is VaultBox free?

VaultBox is free to download and explore. Some advanced privacy protections require an optional in-app subscription.
